Open Source Invention

The Point

Open Source Invention

Open source licenses are emerging as a solvent business model. Some call it “freemium”. It’s the concept that we don’t own our own concepts. So, we share them with the world.

Through this, money no longer comes from our brainstorms, but our own work—the application of one’s ideas. The open source model has little fear of ideas being “stolen” because craftsmanship, on-the-job know-how, and case-by-case decision-making are the skills of an artisan, which cannot be stolen.

Jesus searches heart and mind, but rewards us according to our work, just like an open source customer? Maybe open source was his concept.
