It’s been about a month since it was released: Watch Stand Pray 365. It’s in Amazon paperback and Kindle, and the first 1,000 are free in most other ebookstores. I was inspired by what people said about Jordan, though I had never once heard him talk. Except one short critique on his now-famous interview, I had never see or heard one word from Jordan. That was to make sure the book wasn’t the least bit tainted. Now that I’m finished and am listening to Jordan, I see he and I had a lot in common in our thinking.

So, here it is… Watch Stand Pray 365

Circles of Fifths

Circles of Fifths

The New Circle of Fifths…

Circles of Fifths

The Circle of Fifths is for daydreaming musicians. Once you know your way around, let your mind wander and you’ll invent great chord progressions etc. Understanding the modulation flow of the Old Circle of Fifths helps enhance your mind-wandering music-day-dreaming ability. Each triad-chord is paired with the relative Major and minor chords, ie: C Major and a minor are next to each other. Three consecutive pairs constitute a key, with triads and mode scales based on the Major and minor scales in the center, ie: G, C, and F pairs are all in the key of C, using the C Major/a minor scale and whatever mode changes you make for the others (G Mixolydian, D Dorian, etc, all using the same notes as the C Major scale).

With the New Circle of Fifths, we add the seventh tone for both the Major and Harmonic minor scales.  · · · →

Why I Swung to Romney

For some reason, Santorum always reminded me of that preppy church boy who shows his evil temper when things don’t go his way. Newt, with all our forgiveness, proved unfaithful to his political donors. I saw Romney as a talking calculator. Seriously, I was ready to vote “Obama” in the name of Conservatism’s spite for mediocrity. But, these last few months, Romney’s won my vote and here’s the reason why: He’s learning.

It’s typical for a Republican candidate to preach hard line Conservative through the primaries, then become indistinguishable from the Democrat nominee. Maybe this is because Republican consultants think “Independent voters” are “Moderate voters”. That bean-counting strategery method makes people think, by making it hard for the electorate to distinguish between the Republican and the Democrat, the Independents will get confused and split 50-50. But, I never understood “smart” people, like consultants, MBA’s, and MDiv’s who count “beans” instead of “mojo”.  · · · →
